Trump Orders USAID to Be Shut Down for Good

After decades of mission creep, wasteful spending, and political meddling overseas, this bloated bureaucracy is finally being dismantled. The only people upset are the ones who stood to benefit—D.C. careerists and foreign grifters.

USAID long ago abandoned its core mission of promoting freedom in the world in the face of communism. Instead, it morphed into a taxpayer-funded engine for regime change, meddling in foreign nations’ politics under the guise of promoting democracy.”
