Speaker Johnson Confirms: House to Vote on Plan C to Avoid Shutdown
Despite being up against the clock, one Republican expressed confidence, saying, “It’s gonna be beautiful.”
Speaker Mike Johnson announced on Friday morning that House Republicans have a new strategy to avert a government shutdown and there will be a vote on a Plan C set for later in the morning.
“Yeah, yeah, we have a plan,” Johnson told reporters as he entered the Capitol. “We’re expecting votes this morning, so you all stay tuned. We’ve got a plan.” Johnson did not provide further details on the proposal.
