Speaker Johnson 'Caves' and Passes Spending Bill with Major Democrat Support

The House Republican leadership just passed the “American Relief Act, 2025” with massive support from the Democratic Party.
Speaker Johnson had earlier dropped “Plan C.” It is 118 pages long.
Rep. Thomas Massie called this Johnson “caving” to the Democrats.
"Speaker Johnson flipped his decision after the meeting when he spoke to Hakeem Jeffries and realized he could get Democrat votes to pass all the legislation as one bill," Massie said.
Donald Trump also did not get his debt ceiling raise. But Elon Musk celebrated it as a “great” bill.
